The Halifax Tides FC unveiled the team’s first kit/jersey on Wednesday evening at an event downtown.
The Tides are members of the Northern Super League, Canada’s first ever professional women’s soccer league.
The home jerseys have themes of the ocean and the power of the tides around here.
The Tides also announced the IWK Foundation as a founding partner last night. The partnership will extend beyond the pitch, emphasizing a shared dedication to drive awareness and inspire action for women’s health locally, nationally and internationally.
The Tides’ inaugural match will take place next month on April 26, at 6:00 PM at The Wanderers Grounds downtown, where they will face the Calgary Wild in a historic event marking the beginning of professional women’s soccer in Halifax.
Having the team here will give young local female players the dream to play professionally here in their hometown.
