Nova Scotia’s Brad Marchand Wins Second Stanley Cup

Congrats to Brad Marchand of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia on winning his second Stanley Cup last night, this time with the Florida Panthers.
The Panthers repeat as back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions as the defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 to take the series 4-2.
Florida’s Sam Bennett won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, he led the league with 15 goals. The Panthers become the first team since the 2021 Lightning to repeat as champions.
Brad’s parents Lynn and Kevin were in the crowd to watch Brad hoist Lord Stanley’s mug.
The former Halifax Moosehead won his first Cup in 2011 with the Boston Bruins when he had a parade in downtown Halifax, speeches at Grand Parade, and then took the Stanley out to the St. Margaret’s Centre, where he once played as a TASA Duck.

What a great day! Were you there?
