59-year-old man dead after fire in East Chezzetcook

A fire has claimed the life of a 59-year-old man in East Chezzetcook.

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment and Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE) responded to a fire in the 1600 block of East Chezzetcook Road at 7:30 a.m. on July 14.

The fire was contained to just the home, but once HRFE extinguished the fire they found the man dead inside.

HRFE and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service are still working to complete the investigation.
