Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of the province as storms make their way through the western and northern parts of the province.
They’re calling for 20-30 mm of rain an hour, with a high level of confidence in the forecast.
The warning has been issued all the way from Yarmouth to Antigonish, and Environment Canada says the thunderstorms could last until tomorrow morning.
The heavy downpours could lead to difficult driving conditions, traffic delays and even localized flash flooding. Community members are being urged to plan ahead, travel with caution and be mindful of rapidly changing weather conditions.
