New $200M Amazon operations facility slated for Dartmouth

A new Amazon operations facility is coming to the Burnside Industrial Park in Dartmouth.

In an email to our newsroom, Amazon confirmed they are building a “new operations site” but are in the early stages of planning.

The city says it is about 1.2 million square feet, which according to reports, is more than three times the size of IKEA.

In an emailed statement, spokesperson for HRM Sarah Brennan says, “the transaction remains subject to confidentiality obligations between parties.”

She says the city cannot comment on details of the transaction.

There are no details at this time on when the building will be complete.
