A Special Thursday Blood Donor Clinic

Last month Canadian Blood Services lost one of their greatest supporters and champions.
Peter MacDonald was the Regional Director for Donor Relations and Collections for Atlantic Canada, and sadly passed away at age 56 after a brief battle with cancer.
(Peter MacDonald pictured above.)
Peter’s family has asked that people across the country “roll up their sleeves” and donate blood, plasma or platelets during the month of March in his honour.
Many people in Atlantic Canada will remember Peter as the face of Canadian Blood Services through many media interviews over his 17-year career with the organization.
Right now, donors are needed more than ever. Like other organizations across Canada, the latest COVID-19 wave is challenging Canadian Blood Services like never before.
This March you can honour Peter’s legacy and support Canada’s Lifeline in a time of need. There are over 800 open appointments in Halifax during the month of March.
Tomorrow, Thursday, March 3rd, members of Peter’s family will be making donations in his honour at the Halifax Donor Centre, 7071 Bayers Road, at 1:00pm.

Thanks for your support in advance and thanks to Peter for his service to help save lives.
My 41st donation is two weeks from today.
