After Cancer Diagnosis, Peter Baylis Will Sing O Canada Saturday Night

After being diagnosed with brain cancer in the off-season, legendary Halifax Mooseheads anthem singer Peter Baylis WILL sing O Canada at the Herd’s Home Opener Saturday night here in Moose Country!
Family and friends are flying in for this special night and will be in a skybox provided by the Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads officially open the season tonight (September 19th) on the road against the Charlottetown Islanders in Prince Edward Island, with the Isles coming across Confederation Bridge tomorrow for the rematch game at the Scotiabank Centre in downtown Halifax.
There’ll be a few new surprises as the rink installed a new sound system over the summer, so I’m looking forward to trying out the new speakers.
Also, some new “Ribbon Lighting” will be going around the rink below the skyboxes.
But the best part is that Peter will be there to get the Moosemaniacs pumped up with his signature way of singing O Canada!!

Moose Country loves ya, Peter!

On a personal note, I’ll be starting my 29th season behind the Moose microphone.
Go Moose Go!!!!
