Blood Donation # 43 Is In The Books

I made another O negative blood donation on Wednesday at Canadian Blood Services on Bayers Road in Halifax.

This one was dedicated to my little 5-year-old cousin Sloane who’s fighting her battle with a rare form of cancer.

A little video :

Cancer patients depend on blood transfusions during their battles.

Did you know that only 7% of Canadian share this O negative blood type that is the universal type of blood for all those that need transfusions.

Madison was my nurse who’s a big Hot Country 1035 fan who took care of me, donating the 500 ml or one pint of blood can help save up to three lives.

I did it in 5:44, my record is 5:28.

The snacks at the end are awesome!

This year Canadian Blood Services needs up to 100,000 new donors.

You can do your part and be a lifesaver by making an appointment here.

Thanks for your consideration as every donation counts, especially during the summer.
