The 2024 NHL All-Star Game is on this weekend with the big game Saturday night at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, the home of my Toronto Maple Leafs. There will be a tribute to the 1967 Stanley Cup Leafs champs.
The team captains were chosen by the NHL: Auston Matthews will captain one team, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers will captain the second team, Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche will captain the third team, and brothers Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils and Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks will be on the fourth team.
Sidney Crosby will fittingly be on his buddy Nathan MacKinnon’s team.

Another local connection is Halifax’s Rick Bowness Head Coach of the Winnipeg Jets is also a Head Coach at the NHL All-Star Game, congrats Bones!
