The man and woman facing charges in the case of the dead missing newborn in Halifax have had the matter adjourned again.
This marks the second time the case has been delayed. This delay is to allow the defense to review disclosure.
The province’s prosecution service says Sukhpreet Singh, 23, appeared in court virtually on Friday.
He and his 26-year-old wife Ramandeep Kaur are facing charges that include obstructing justice and concealing the body of a child.
In May the mother of the baby arrived critical at a Halifax hospital and appeared to have just given birth, but the baby was missing.
Police say they believe the 23-year-old mother experienced a medical emergency and her condition was not the result of violence.
Crews scoured an area of Clayton Park for two days until the remains of the infant were found in the woods just minutes outside of Halifax.
The two are scheduled for court September 14 to enter an election and/or plea. No bail hearing is currently scheduled.
