You have probably heard of Peace By Chocolate. In fact, you have probably indulged in their AMAZING chocolatey treats (and if you haven’t; SERIOUSLY, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR!)
But just in case you didn’t know the story behind the Hadhad family…
After leaving everything (including their chocolate factory, which was destroyed in a bombing) to flee Lebanon, they started a new life in Antigonish. With the support of the community, they rebuilt their chocolate company, and have been able to share their passion for chocolate with the world once again!

And because they know what it is like to lose everything in an instant, tragedies like the deadly Earthquake in Turkey and Syria impact them deeply. Which is why they have partnered with Red Cross to raise money for the Red Cross earthquake relief efforts in Syria and Türkiye. As of this Friday, they have already raised $135,000!
Right now, 100% of the proceeds from selected products at Peace by Chocolate will go towards the Red Cross Earthquake Relief.
