How would you like to get paid to drink beer? It sounds like a DREAM job, right? Well, we are here to tell you: it is now your reality.
Good Robot, on Robie Street in North End Halifax, is going to PAY you to buy their product.
They launched a new promotional campaign called “Become a Micro Influencer,” and they will pay you $1 to take a pic with their product and post it to Instagram:
The whole purpose is to take the idea of an “Influencer” and flip it on its head: they want people with LESS than 10,000 followers to be THEIR social media influencers!! Which bodes well for Melody & Forman; not only do we both LOVE beer, but our Instagram is still shy of 200 followers!!
If you want to take part in the campaign, you must be of legal drinking age, and all you need to do is post a photo or video to Instagram with one of Good Robot’s 5 eligible products (click here for the list) – tag @Goodrobotbrew, and include the hashtags #sponsored and #ad (you ARE a legit Influencer now, after all!) – then the brewery will contact you directly with payment details. You are limited to one post per product, per week. So if you like them all, you can do 5 posts in a week. If you want to post more, feel free, BUT that’s ALL they will pay you for.
So, YES you CAN get paid to drink beer… but you’ll still need to keep your day job 😉
