Halifax Beats Cape Breton In Preseason Play

It was great to be back behind the Moose Microphone last night as the Halifax Mooseheads beat the Cape Breton Eagles 4-3 in QMJHL preseason play at the Herd’s practice rink in Burnside.

So awesome to have about a thousand fans in the stands as the last couple of years fans were not permitted during the pandemic.

Local kid Rookie Reece Peitzsche from Beaver Bank got his first goal assisted by Pictou County’s Logan Crosby and Moncton’s Dylan MacKinnon, so it was cool to announce Peitzsche from Crosby and MacKinnon…

This was a sold win for the Herd after getting thumped 8-0 Tuesday night by the Eagles up in Glace Bay.

The Moose made a trade yesterday getting Beaver Bank’s Jake Todd from Chicoutimi for a draft pick.

Must be something in the Beaver Bank water producing Mooseheads players.

Safe home Eagles.

Next up: the Memorial Cup Champions Saint John Sea Dogs on Friday night here in Moose Country at the Burnside RBC Centre on Commodore Drive at 7pm.

See ya there.

Go Moose Go!
