With the holiday season underway Halifax RCMP are reminding residents to be weary of porch pirates.
To avoid having your packages stolen from your doorstep they recommend a few simple things:
- scheduling deliveries for when you are home
- use a secure delivery locker, or nearby pick-up location
- have your packages delivered to your workplace or a neighbour’s
- request a signature
- install cameras
- report suspicious activity
They ask if you are a victim of theft, contact police.
