Charlie The Tree is Back On The 102 In Bedford

It’s been a Christmas tradition for over two decades now as Charlie Brown the Christmas tree has returned to the Bi-Hi/102 at Hammonds Plains Road in Bedford.
Ed McHugh and his wife Shelly officially lit up their famous Charlie Brown tree this past week.
Ed says on his Facebook page “This started in 2000 and there may have been some rum involved with moi that year!”
They run a cord from their house to power up the lights on the bank of the highway.
For those of us who travel the 102, Charlie has been a part of our holiday season for 23 years now.

I remember when my kids were little playing hockey in Lower Sackville or Bedford, it was a highlight of the night to drive by Charlie on the way home after a game.
Thanks to Ed & Shelly for making memories once again with Charlie!
