Hockey Legend Has His Own Beer Now

Canadian hockey legend Darryl Sittler has a new beer out.

Ironically, it’s called “10 Point Lager” in honour of his historic 10-point night in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 7th, 1976.

On the Hot Country Party Cruise back on Friday night, Darryl Sittler’s niece Kennedy Sittler was on board, she lives here, I met her last summer on board.

She calls Darryl “Uncle D.” I showed her this pic below of us from 20 years ago when Darryl was in town in for a ceremonial puck drop before a Halifax Mooseheads game on December 16th, 2003.

Kennedy showed it to her friend and said: “Look at Uncle D and Ian.”

She told me Darryl recently brought a bunch of his new beer to their Sittler Family Reunion.

By the way, one of Sidney Crosby’s nicknames is “Darryl” because he had a 10-point game, before turning pro.

Cheers to a hockey legend and my all-time favourite player growing up, #27, Darryl Sittler!
