Summer O negative blood donation number 55 is in the books

I made O negative blood donation number 55 this week in memory of Leo Brown, aka Gregg Lee, who we lost suddenly this past Sunday way too soon, he was a radio icon in Nova Scotia and in Toronto on 1050 CHUM.

I also donated for John Trivett another radio pal, who’s battling cancer in Saint John, New Brunswick. Both are radio brothers.

My nurse Susan at the Canadian Blood Services Bayers Road clinic was saying summer donations are low with many on vacation, so please donate if you can at blood.ca.
Each donation can save three lives and helps cancer patients like John. (My donation time on Wednesday was 5:18, my record time is 4:33.)
Ya know, very time you give blood your donation impacts the recipient, their family, community, even the entire country. You make all the difference. Thank you for considering donating blood, it takes an hour or less and the snacks are a huge bonus! -Ian (Credits: @LifelineNS & Ian Robinson photos.)
