Kelli Rickard from Hot Country News Retires Today

Happy retirement to our own Kelli Rickard from the Hot Country 1035 News Room, as of the 12 noon news today, she’s read her last newscast.
After starting in radio in 1986, Kelli is hanging up the microphone and headphones.

Kelli began 39 years ago in Saint John, New Brunswick at CFBC on the All-Night Show where a lot of us learned the radio ropes.

Her radio journey took her to Montreal, Kirkland, Ontario then eventually back to Truro, Nova Scotia.
In November 1992 Kelli drove down the 102 to take over a maternity leave position at 92/ CJCH and the rest is Halifax radio history.

  • Ian Robinson is a lifelong Bluenoser and has been on Nova Scotia radio since 1984. Since 1997, he has been the Public Address Announcer for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL with over 1,100 games announced, and since 2023, has been the Voice of the Halifax Thunderbirds of the National Lacrosse League in “The Nest.”
