The Mooseheads Help TASA Minor Hockey Wildfire Players

Tuesday night the Halifax Mooseheads hosted and treated the TASA Minor Hockey kids and their families who lost their belongings in the recent forest fire in Tantallon. They gathered at the Mooseheads practice facility at the RBC Centre in Burnside where the players were treated pizza, time with some of the Mooseheads players, were given lots of merchandise and goodies and a trip to Pro Hockey Life on the Mooseheads’ bus to get brand new gear! Former Halifax Mooseheads Captain Justin Barron (in black t-shirt below) now with the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens was there to offer his words of support. My former next door Timberlea neighbour Molly Deveau and her son Carter lost everything in the wildfire. Molly says: “I have never witnessed, let alone been a recipient of, such a caring and kind organization. I fill with tears and the biggest smile as this was such an amazing night for the kids, one which I know they will never forget!” (Above HAL, Justin Barron and TASA Minor Hockey players.) “The outpouring of love, kindness and support during our community’s most difficult days is nothing short of amazing. We appreciate everyone that has reached out, gathered donations and sent along positive encouragement.
Last night the Halifax Mooseheads held a very special and touching evening for some of our TASA Ducks that had lost their homes in the fire or were residents of the more greatly damaged areas. They provided them with lots of amazing Mooseheads swag, some encouraging conversations with some of their players and a trip on the Moosehead’s bus to Pro Hockey Life to get some new gear! To say we are incredibly grateful for your generosity would be a vast understatement.
Thank you!”

Needless to say this will be a night these young players will remember for the rest of their lives.
