Megan ventured into the path of totality

A few friends and a 3 and a half hour road trip was worth every minute.

Venturing into the path of totality and standing under the covered sun was a breathtaking experience, especially when a light cloud drifted over the eclipse as the sun inched its way back out of the coverage of the moon. This created an effect known as a sun dog, but with the intensity of the sun, it was a vibrant rainbow.

The exact ethereal view was not well translated into an iPhone camera but the few videos and pictures that were captured still do some justice.
