Mooseheads Goalie Owen Bresson Suspended for Five Games

The QMJHL has announced a five-game suspension for Mooseheads goaltender Owen Bresson for his involvement in a goalie fight with Saint John goalie Arseni Radkov on Friday night.

Radkov also received a five-game ban.

Owen served the first game of the suspension during Saturday’s 4-2 Halifax victory over the Sea Dogs.

This goaltender fight is a rare occurrence and the first one in recent memory.

Owen will miss the final two regular season games next weekend versus the Newfoundland Regiment and will be required to miss the first two games of the playoffs on March 27th and 28th on the road against a yet to be determined opponent.

The Herd’s home playoff games are scheduled for the first round here in Moose Country March 31st and April 1st.
