Nova Scotia Music Legend To Be Honoured At Junos

Springhill, Nova Scotia’s Anne Murray, the most JUNO Awarded artist in history, will take to the JUNOS stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

This marks a significant moment as Anne Murray will be the first artist recipient of the honour, which is being awarded for the first time since Pierre Juneau, The JUNO Awards’ namesake, received it in 1989.

Anne Murray is a Canadian music icon whose signature voice and time-honoured music have defined a career spanning over five decades. A trailblazer in pop, country, and adult contemporary music, her catalogue globally has surpassed 1 billion streams (and counting), and she has sold over 55 million albums worldwide

The 54th Annual JUNO Awards, will broadcast and stream live across Canada from Rogers Arena in Vancouver on March 30th at 9 p.m. Atlantic on CBC TV, hosted by Michael Bublé.

Anne Murray recently attended the women’s Rivalry Series hockey game at the Scotiabank Centre between Teams Canada and Team U.S.A.

My buddy Mavs Gillis of Eastlink Sports got a selfie with Anne in the stands saying, “Getting a selfie with Anne Murray at a hockey game has to be the most Canadian thing I have done in quite some time.”

Congrats Anne!
