Nova Scotia Well Represented At Boston Marathon

The world’s oldest marathon is on today with the 126th running of the Boston Marathon.

Nova Scotia is being well represented with several “Bluenoser” runners including: Denise Robson of Chester, Jamie Fitzgerald from Glace Bay, Jarvis GooGoo originally from We’koqma’q First Nation, now living in Dartmouth and the Father/Daughter duo of John and Kara MacKinnon of Sydney and Halifax.

For Kara, this will be her second in Beantown but first running with her dad John, which has been a goal of hers the last few years.

She’s looking forward to creating a special memory.

The Boston Marathon was cancelled for the first time ever in 2020 because of COVID-19 and was rescheduled last year in 2021.

The run began this morning at 10 am Atlantic time with sunshine and a high of 12 degrees in the Boston forecast.

Good luck to all our runners from here at home!
