Public feedback period for housing build near Eisner Cove Wetland to close soon

There’s still time to offer your thoughts on development around Eisner Cove Wetland in Dartmouth.

The site, officially called the Southdale Future Growth Node, has had an 875 unit housing development approved, to be built by Clayton Developments Limited.

Work has started on site, but environmental advocates are concerned about the health of the marsh.

The area was dubbed a “special planning area” by the province in March, allowing the provincial housing minister to fast track approval of development proposals.

The municipality has opened an online form to submit feedback and thoughts on the project.

The online feedback form closes on Sept. 19.
