Several Former Halifax Mooseheads Will Play In The QMJHL Final

Moose Country will be well represented in the 2025 QMJHL Final. Last night the Rimouski Océanic defeated the Shawinigan Cataractes 4-3 in double overtime in Game 7. This sets up the final with the Moncton Wildcats and the Océanic.
Several former Mooseheads will play in Round 4 starting this weekend in Moncton including players on Moncton like goalie Mathis Rousseau, Dylan MacKinnon, Markus Vidicek and Logan Crosby of Salt Springs, Nova Scotia.
On the Rimouski Océanic bench there’ll be former Mooseheads Jack Martin, Mathieu Cataford and Lou Levesque all playing for the Gilles Courteau Trophy, formerly the President Cup.
Since the Océanic is the host club of the Memorial Cup tournament, the Wildcats have automatically qualified for the Canadian championship.
The Halifax Mooseheads won both the President Cup and Memorial Cup in 2013.

No doubt a few Mooseheads fans will be making the trip to Moncton to cheer on our pals on the Cats.
Good luck from Moose Country!
