Several Former Halifax Mooseheads Win QMJHL Championship

Some former Halifax Mooseheads are now QMJHL Champions! Congratulations to the Moncton Wildcats goalie Mathis Rousseau, Markus Vidicek, Dylan MacKinnon and Logan Crosby the pride of Salts Springs, Pictou County.

Also on the team is former Halifax Mooseheads Trainer Chris MacDonald who’ll once again sip from the Gilles-Courteau Trophy. (Above: Chris MacDonald at a Mooseheads and Moncton game) The Wildcats downed the host Rimouski Océanic 3-2 in game six of the QMJHL final on Monday afternoon. It is the third QMJHL title for the Wildcats who won in 2006 and the first since the 2009-10 season. Both teams will advance to the Memorial Cup, which is being hosted this year by Rimouski. Moncton plays London on Saturday night, followed by Medicine Hat on May 26 and Rimouski on May 28. The semifinal match is on May 30 followed by the Memorial Cup final on June 1.
