UPD: Some customers in Beaver Bank impacted by water main repair

Halifax Water crews are continuing their work to repair a water main on Beaver Bank Road.

The utility is advising customers between Stokil and Windgate Drives that they may experience low water pressure or a temporary interruption in service due to the urgent repair.

Drivers are told to expect delays and to use alternate routes. Two-way traffic is being maintained with an altered centre line. Sidewalks remain open.

Halifax Water is reminding drivers speed fines double in work zones.

Meantime, the utility was also working to fix a water main in the area of Sackville Drive and Beaver Bank Road on Tuesday morning.

Halifax Water says service was restored at around 9:20 a.m. in the surrounding areas, including Millwood subdivision.
