Team Canada Has Announced Olympic Flag Bearers

Hockey star Marie-Philip Poulin and short-track speed skater Charles Hamelin will carry our flag at the Olympic Opening Ceremony .

The pair have five Olympic gold medals between them.

Poulin who’s 30, won gold with her teammates in 2010 and 2014, scoring that clinching goal in each championship final.

Here’s her thoughts on being a flag bearer:

Hamelin is 37, won twice in Vancouver and again in Sochi to go along with two other Olympic medals and is ready to compete in his record fifth Olympics in Beijing.

The Opening Ceremony for Beijing 2022 is scheduled for this Friday, February 4th.

Competition at the Olympics begins tonight with Team Canada’s women’s hockey squad taking on the Swiss at 12:10 am our time.

Good luck to our own Bluenosers Jill Saulnier, Blayre Turnbull and Coach Troy Ryan.

Go Canada GOLD!
