The Canadian Football League is returning to Wolfville, Nova Scotia to Raymond Field at Acadia University this weekend.
The stadium home of the Acadia Axemen normally holds 3000 fans but will be expanded to welcome 10,000 fans to see the regular season matchup between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts this Saturday, July 16th.
It will be a huge boost to the local economy in Wolfville that has struggled the past two years during the pandemic.
The CFL’s 2020 edition of Touchdown Atlantic in Halifax between the Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders was cancelled – along with the entire season – due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’ll be the fourth Touchdown Atlantic appearance for the Argos, who played in the inaugural contest – a 16-16 exhibition tie with Hamilton in 2005.
