The Halifax Mooseheads are heading to the QMJHL Finals for the 5th time in franchise history!

This happened after a 1-0 win to take the series 4-2 with a 42 save shutout by goalie Mathis Rousseau with back-to-back weekend shutouts and the games 1st Star!

Josh Lawrence with the Herd’s goal. Halifax will now face the Quebec Ramparts for the Gilles Courteau Cup starting this Friday and Saturday in Quebec City.

Moose Country dates for Games 3 and 4 here are still being worked out.

So proud of our boys! Here’s what it was like when Mooseheads fans in Sherbrooke saw Mathis Rousseau come out of the rink last night:

The team landed back here around 11:30 last night.

New Mooseheads Owners Sam and Peter Simon invited the Mooseheads Front Office Staff to the game last night in Sherbrooke as a thanks for their hard work.

Mooseheads players and staff gave Moose bus driver Rob some love last night:

The Mooseheads made the QMJHL Finals in 2003 facing Hull now the Gatineau Olympiques, 2005 against Sidney Crosby and the Rimouski Oceanic, 2013 with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and most recently in 2019 with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

I was there announcing for all of them, so let’s make some more memories and history Moose Country!
