The Halifax Mooseheads Get Ready for Game 7 Tonight!

The two biggest words in hockey are “Game 7” and tonight your Halifax Mooseheads play their biggest game of their season.

The Herd’s season is on the line as either Halifax or Drummondville will advance to the second round of the QMJHL Playoffs this evening.

On Monday night in Drummondville evened the series 3 games as the Voltigeurs blanked the Mooseheads 6-0 in front of 2,660 fans.

Veteran Moose goalie Jacob Steinman being pulled in the 3rd period to rest up for tonight crucial match up.

Halifax went there knowing they had two chances to win in Quebec, and Halifax won the first two games on the road to begin the series.

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to MC the opening ceremonies of the Provincials for the U13 AAA teams from around Nova Scotia at the St. Margaret’s Centre in Tantallon.

Halifax Mooseheads players, and former TASA Ducks, Quinn Kennedy, Owen Philips and Calum Aucoin were there for the puck drop and I asked them for a 4-2 empty net win for last Friday night’s game, and they delivered! So, can we do the same tonight fellas?

Game time is 8pm Halifax time for the Moose and Volts.

Meanwhile, the Cape Breton Eagles season is over after their eight-period game including five overtimes on Friday night in Sydney at “The Nest” the Eagles lost last night to the Baie-Commeau Drakkar 6-1 as the Drakkar take the series 4-2 over Cape Breton.

It was a great season for the Eagles and nice to see the crowds return to the rink on George Street the team is actually selling Midnight Marathon t-shirts!
