The Halifax Parade of Lights Will Happen Afterall

After some speculation on whether the 29th Holiday Parade of Lights will happen in Halifax this year, it has been confirmed with a different date and start time.

It will take place a bit later on Sunday, December 8th at 5:00 pm, sponsored by Nova Scotia Power and presented by Eastlink.

The route is a little bit different starting at the Cogswell Street roundabout, adjacent to the Emera Oval and Citadel Community Centre.

It’ll then head south on Ahern Avenue, onto Bell Road, then to South Park Street, east onto Spring Garden Road, turning left onto Barrington Street, and conclude at George Street.

And yes, Santa Claus will make a special appearance.

Thousands of families from across the region will fill the streets downtown to enjoy a magical procession of floats from community groups and corporate partners.
