The NHL Has Postponed Cross-border Games

The NHL has called off all cross-border games until December 23rd due to COVID-19.

However, the league will maintain its regular-season schedules, citing a low number of cases with concerning symptoms or serious illness.

Ontario cut capacity at sports venues to 50 per cent and the Montreal Canadiens played in an empty Bell Centre on Thursday in an effort slow the spread of COVID-19.

The NBA also announced it would postpone a handful of games, including the Toronto Raptors’ Monday night game against Orlando.

The World Juniors Hockey Tournament at this time will go ahead as scheduled with fans in the stands in Edmonton and Red Deer

Halifax Mooseheads Captain Elliott Desnoyers will represent our city, province and country on the World stage with Team Canada when the tourney is scheduled to start this Sunday on Boxing Day.
