The Time Ian Crashed at the Media Races at Scotia Speedworld

Last Friday night was “Hot Country 1035 Night” at Scotia Speedworld.
It was a flashback to the media races of the early 90’s where they actually let us Radio, TV and newspaper people race the cars!
The races were held annually up to 1991 until I crashed into fellow 92/CJCH co-worker at the time Doug Reynolds who was driving Jerry Lawrence’s car, the Bear was our CJCH Morning Announcer back then.

That my friends was the end of the Media Races, my wife Roxanne recorded “The Crash” on the ol’ video recorder. I was Top 5 before the BAM!
Thankfully there were no injuries, but the cars were worse off…

If you want to see the real professional racers, check out the action at Scotia Speedworld this summer and click on HERE to get your tickets for this weekend racing.

It was a fun night last Friday at the track, later in the parking lot I was revving up my wife’s KIA Soul…
Have fun at Scotia Speedworld!
