The Toronto Blue Jays Will Do $300-million Worth of Renos

It’s a home run for renovations coming to the home of the Toronto Blue Jays. The $300-million worth of renos will all be privately funded, and are set to transform Rogers Centre from a stadium into a real ballpark. The then “Sky Dome” opened in 1989 and is due for an upgrade. The work will be done in a few phases over the next two to three off seasons and will feature upgrades to primary fan areas in the 100, 200, 500, and field level seating sections. The first phase of the project will be done by opening day next season in 2023 featuring the creation of social spaces that will include patios, drink rails, bars and viewing platforms in the 100 and 200-levels. Bullpens for the Jays and away teams will be elevated and surrounded by new bleacher seats and viewing areas. Here’s look at before and after:   Go Jays Go! -Ian Credits: @BlueJays
