This Is National Blood Donor Week

This week marks National Blood Donor Week June 11th to June 17th.

I recently made O negative blood donation number 48 in memory of my little 5 year old distant cousin Sloane who lost her battle on May 8th to brain tumours.

Cancer patients depend on blood donations and each donation can save three lives plus it only takes less than an hour.

My old donation record time was 5:02, the new record time is 4:33.

The Cheetos snacks are a new perk of donating.

Here in Nova Scotia, we need 7,180 blood donors over the summer, so, please consider booking your next appointment HERE.

The folks at Canadian Blood Services sincerely appreciate all donors who have helped save the lives of patients across Canada.

To my fellow blood donors: thank you for your commitment to helping patients.
